About Us
Children need the freedom and time to play. Play is not a luxury, Play is a necessity
Dr. Kay Redfield Jamison, Psychiatrist
Meet the team
Two of the founders of Play it Forward are child psychologists with years of experience conducting play therapy to support behavioral, social and emotional goals of children with developmental delays and other disabilities including hearing loss and autism spectrum disorder. As such, they are uniquely qualified to identify toys that would provide the most developmental benefit to children, including toys that would be appealing to children with a variety of disabilities across the age range!
Mission Statement
The mission of Play it Forward is to increase equitable access to early developmental play
experiences, by increasing child access to high-quality, developmentally appropriate toys and games, and to allow families to decrease waste from toys by sharing them instead
